Trujillo & Santa Fe need a runway (or better, an airport) to facilitate and improve tourism, and to provide faster and easier access for full and part-time residents of the area. Military and government aircraft have continue using it although commercial aircraft are now prohibited. In the case of urgent medical need there is no option for area residents to be transported to larger medical facilities. The runway needs to be reopened as soon as possible..
